HSR will email you the Trainee's contact information to see if you are available to Mentor them. If you are available, then you simply need to call them to pre-screen and set the expectation about the project and set the date.
Once you've set the date, send us an email to let us know along with your billing address, so we can mail you a $300 check.
Yes, we want to make sure it's a good fit for both of you! When you call the trainee to discuss the job shadow day and project, you get the opportunity to interview them as well.
Make sure to "set the expectation" for the Trainee, so they can be better prepared and feel like they have gotten what they paid for.
Trainee will sign an indemnity agreement stating they hold Staging Mentor harmless, are never to contact client, speak with client about themselves or their business, as well as only promote Staging Mentor to client. They are to act as “assistant” only on the staging day and pitch-in wherever is needed by the Staging Mentor. They are expected to be a sponge that day and LISTEN AND LEARN on the aspects of design. See the Trainee Agreement for more information.
Have you even gotten a call from someone thinking about becoming a stager and wanting your opinion?
By becoming a Staging Mentor, you can help to train those inquiries by setting them up for success in a RESA Accredited Training Program and a job shadow day with you!
When you represent your area as a "Staging Mentor" you get the logo below to post on your website for marketing purposes.
