Below you will find a list of Staging Mentors who generously give their time, talent and knowledge in a "job shadow" day. These are the "best of the best" and I'm so proud to be associated with each one of them!
PS - If you don't find a mentor near you, no problem! We will partner you with the most successful stager in (or better yet, just out of) your area for your job shadow day.
My business partner, Joellyn Machnics, and I enjoy being part of the Staging Mentor Program. We love meeting with students who have completed the HSR training certification and extending that education by practical application. We'll share tips and tricks we've learned through our nine years as stagers and enable participants to practice what they've learned in training. Our participants enjoy a day of staging and learning and gain much from this experience.
I enjoy being a Staging Mentor because I value working with others and enabling them to hone their skills. The experience is equally rewarding for both parties. Embarking on a new venture is exciting and challenging and I love being able to contribute to that experience.
The trainees we mentor will benefit from our years of experience and get to try their wings. We will enable you and encourage you to try things and use your own best instincts through the staging process. We always explain the why of what we do to help others more easily understand the process.

This is a fabulous Industry and there is plenty of work for many good Staging companies. I became a Staging Mentor because i know firsthand it can be quite overwhelming to start a business without having the hands on experience it takes to build confidence.
i am very open & direct about my approach to Staging. What is so unique about our business is that every day and every home is different. This keeps the work day exciting and new.

If I had the opportunity to be mentored when I was starting out in this business, it would have been invaluable. Now, I can share my knowledge and experience with others who have the same passion to be creative and have their own staging business.
You will get hands-on training, working with real live clients and a variety of staging jobs. In addition, if you want to have your own inventory, and want to know where/how to begin so it's affordable, we can delve into that as well. You will gain invaluable experience working alongside me, and moreover, it's fun!
I am a staging mentor that serves the entire Jacksonville Florida area including St. Augustine, Amelia Island and Orange Park. We specialize in interior design, home staging and lots of vacant staging.
I became a staging mentor because I am a hands on person and appreciate the value of in the field experience. I spent four years acquiring a bachelors for interior design but have honestly learned a ton more getting into homes and seeing what I can do. Each one is different!
Typically we are very busy working on a wide variety of projects so each day is totally different. Depending on the day, you'd be included in meeting with clients, seeing empty home to come up with a plan, rolling up your sleeves and actually stage a home.

I became a Staging Mentor, not only because of my passion for the industry, but because there is a need for new entrepreneurs to experience what it takes to run and operate a successful staging company with real live experiences. Having been there myself at the beginning of my journey I realized it would have been much easier to have mentor I can count on. My passion to help others and willingness to offer a lending hand, led me to become a Staging Mentor so I can help others succeed and reach their dreams. Additionally, I feel the more our staging industry grow, the better we are in working together to elevate our industry to the next level.
As a progressive interior decorator and stager in the Tampa Bay area, I bring my knowledge and sense of style to the forefront of each project. I began Beyond the Door Interior Redesign & Staging, LLC in 2016 providing staging for vacant and occupied homes which has evolved to interior decorating. I have assisted with a staging installation for HGTV as well as assisting with the installation of celebrity designer, "Tom Filicia 2017 Signature Home" event , presented by David Weekly Homes. This home is featured in Home & Design magazine. Along with my training and experience, I will share my knowledge of generating business, marketing, building relationships, staging techniques and the importance of finding your niche' in the staging industry.
I enjoy mentoring others in the Staging industry because I know it was a crucial part of my success in my first year of business. Networking and learning what your strengths are will be the key to each individuals success. I am more than happy to share my knowledge of staging that I have acquired through Home Resource and my personal experience.
My teaching style is hands on. Once I meet with the new stager and determine what it is she/he wants to focus her mentoring on, I will share my knowledge as well as provide the opportunity to assist with a staging. I will be available in the future for any further assistance.
I am a staging mentor based in Atlanta, GA. I am the current president of the Atlanta Chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA). I enjoy mentoring and helping others be successful to achieve their dreams. I believe the best way to learn is by doing, so I'm all all hands on deck with my teaching style and am available to answer any questions you may have
Aloha, I’m Ululani and am a stager on the Big Island of Hawaii, servicing the Hilo, Puna and Volcano areas. I provide vacant and occupied stagings, consultations, color consultations, space planning and redesign services. I’m a graduate of the Home Staging Resources training and certification program and a RESA member and am honored to have received the following RESA stagings awards:
- 2014 Top Ten Rising Star, North America
- 2015 Top Ten Rising Star, North America
- 2016 Top Ten Occupied Stagers, U.S.A.
And have also been recognized by Houzz for Service Excellence by receiving Best of Houzz 2015 and 2017.
My desire to be a Staging Mentor is a little selfish, I must confess, for a couple reasons. One, in order for my business to succeed, our staging INDUSTRY must succeed as well. Every stager represents our industry, so I have a vested interest in helping new stagers in my area learn the art and business of staging. And Two, I remember the first year of my business I kept hyperventilating at each job. I questioned everything I did. Although I had staged many times as a hobby, launching my business and getting PAID for staging put a whole new twist on it. I HAD to deliver a great product that got my clients results (fast sale at top dollar) and be efficient in doing it - - and I wasn’t sure if I was accomplishing those goals that first year. I believe there’s nothing like hands-on experience and shadowing in the footsteps of an expert. I had wanted to shadow a mentor, but there weren’t any on our islands, and travel to the continental U.S. for the shadowing just wasn’t in my budget. So I know how alone it can feel starting a new business, and thus feel that desire to help new stagers. My way of Paying-It-Forward.
Come with questions in mind, but if you don’t have specific questions, don’t worry. There’s so much to talk about while we’re working, from your business infrastructure to marketing and branding, to staging how-to-s and tricks, to dealing with customers and industry norms and practices. The day will go by quickly and we’ll have loads of fun talking and sharing, while creating a beautiful home for market. My goal is to leave you: EXHAUSTED from a fun-filled day, ENLIGHTENED that you have what it takes to make your business succeed, and INSPIRED with your new bag of staging insights to guide you on your adventure.

I am a staging mentor based out of Peoria, Illinois where I own and run a very successful staging and rental company. We provide staging services to sellers and Realtors that include vacant listings, occupied consults and showcasing, rental packages, downsize services and re design. S.O.S. was started in 2004 before anyone knew what staging was in central Illinois, so we are a grass roots company focused on education and marketing to build our industry in this area. I am the State President for Illinois, have served on the board of the Women's Council of Realtors and provide classes to our Realtors. I mentor by having my students participate in the whole process from start to finish. Learning how to "sell" the service, plan and pack for the stage and of course how to make all the logistics work, as well as how to implement the actual stage. I love to have my students join in as part of our team and learn hands on. I ask lots of questions to get a sense of what they know and what they still need to learn. I encourage my students to also ask lots of questions and spend time helping them understand the process of starting and running a staging business.
I enjoy mentoring others because I believe that as an industry when we help one another succeed we help the industry succeed. The more great stagers working to show sellers and Realtors the benefits of Staging the more sellers and Realtors will use staging , the more sellers and Realtors use staging the more work for all of us. We all win when we work together!
I am a Staging Mentor based in the Metro Kansas City area covering both sides of the State Line including Kansas and Missouri. I teach both Owner Occupied Stagings as well as Vacant Home Stagings.
I decided to become a Home Staging Mentor because when I first started my business, I felt I was lost. It was by trial and error that I learned to create my business model and get the necessary experience in home staging. I would have loved to have known there was an affordable resource like the Staging Mentor Program for people like me. Since learning about the Staging Mentor's opportunity to help others, it's been my goal to be part of an experience like this so that others will never feel lost or alone in this industry.
My teaching style coincides with the way I learn. I'm a very hands on type learner and I feel being able to give a person the "experience" of what to expect in the home staging industry is as valuable as any text they could read in a book. There is never a "one size fits all" answer in home staging, that's why actually working through the experience of a job is an opportunity to learn so much more. In addition, having finished a job and seeing the results always gives me great satisfaction and motivation. That feeling is also something you don't learn thru a class or book. The Staging Mentor is a great way to earn that experience.
I am so pleased to be a mentor for home stagers in the greater Boston, MA and Portland, ME area. As a seasoned stager, I have a variety of staging experiences that I am happy to share while working with up and coming stagers in my area. Spruce Interiors has staged everything from grand seaside homes to small city lofts, and everything in between including a vast number of occupied homes.
Being a mentor is incredibly inspiring - as a former classroom teacher, I know there is nothing better than a student who is motivated and excited to learn something new. That is exactly what I find with emerging stagers. Their passion and excitement is infectious, and through my mentee's questions and ideas I find that I continue to learn and grow as well.
If we are lucky enough to be paired together, we will experience a true "day in the life". Whether we are working one-to-one with clients in their homes, or staging a vacant property, or consulting on color or decorating for a model or show home, my students will get to come along for the ride, ask questions, share ideas, and get a true sense of how other professionals in the business tackle any kind of situation. Plus, it's sure to be lots of fun!

Our company was honored as one of the top 5 in the country by HSRA and top 10 in both 2015 and 2016 by RESA.
I have been very blessed to work in an industry that I love and love giving back to the staging community. Our company has been successful from the very beginning due to our strong homebuilding and realtor relationships. We have definitely learned from our mistakes and as a mentor I hope to help new stagers avoid those same costly mistakes. I am happy to share staging tips and techniques, marketing tips, inventory selection and warehouse and hiring practices
We are a very fast, efficient staging team and look forward to sharing these techniques with new stagers.

I love to teach, sharing knowledge, lending support, all of these things come naturally to me. The work we do as stagers is not as easy as it looks. It can also at times feel lonely, especially starting out, so having the opportunity to give back is my way of paying it forward.
My teaching style is casual, fun, creative and informative. Did I mention fun !
In 2007, Donna Dazzo decided to combine her talent for interior decorating and love of interior, architectural and industrial design with over 20 years of experience in project management and marketing, and formed Designed to Appeal, LLC, a home staging and interior redesign company serving New York City and the Hamptons.

I opened Successful Staging in August of 2004 as an opportunity to provide home Staging services to homeowners and Realtors alike. Through the years I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some great builders and investors, as well. Who knew that all these years later I’d still be here and loving every minute of it.
Through it all I have sought out anything and everything that would help me create an effective Staging plan; the psychology of color, effective photography composition, neuro-marketing, brain research…whatever I could find! My business in not about my making a house look “pretty” as many of the homes I enter are beautiful! My job is to make sure the strengths of the house are showcased, in photos as well as when toured, so potential homebuyers see them, appreciate them and, ultimately, buy them!
My goal is simple: provide homeowners with the tools they need to present their home as strong as possible to the selling public in as professional and positive way as possible. When working with market savvy Realtors who appreciate and know how to harness the power of Staging my goal is the same…to deliver a home presented as strong as possible based on our timeframe and budget. When all three parties work together the results are AMAZING!
The process can be daunting at times but helping you move on to your next home and your new adventures will make it all worthwhile! I look forward to talking with you soon and adding you to our growing list of Successful Staging’s!
Going through the process of selling a home is what sparked my interest in home staging and redesign. Now, I am passionate to share my expertise to help you through the home selling process! I’m happy I have realized my passion and can help others avoid the frustrations of selling a home. I listen to homeowners, I know how they feel, and have a sincere desire to help.

The Home Staging Resource is the first and one of the only accredited staging training courses available for the staging industry.

I am a staging mentor in the greater Cleveland,Ohio area. The majority of my business deals with staging vacant properties.

I'm hands on...jump in and start showing me your talent, but remember it listen to the guidelines!

Helping others is what my business is based upon. It's usually homeowners with their homes or Realtors with their listings, being a Staging Mentor is a way for me to help other stagers.
Describe your teaching style:
Home Staging can be in the form of a Consultation, or for an Occupied or Vacant home. Understanding what to look for when walking through a home, how to deliver that information orally to a seller and still put together a written report of the findings can be extremely intimidating if one has not done that before. Occupied Stagings can also require a diplomatic and creative approach when working with other's belongings to enhance a home in such a way that does not insult the homeowner and can be a great learning experience for a new stager. Vacant Stagings require the most amount of advance preparation, so again another worthwhile mentoring session to those that are unfamiliar with the process of the contracts, planning, & execution of staging a vacant home. I truly love what I do and sharing that love through a mentoring session is day to help others learn, receive valuable insight, have questions answered and goes without saying that although there is a lot to learn, it should be fun too
I am a Staging Mentor based in the Charleston, Mount Pleasant SC area. I specialize in Vacant Staging and I do offer staging consultation, occupied staging and redesign services. I began The Humble Abode in June 2013 and became accredited through HSR in February 2014. Since becoming accredited, I have been among the top stagers in our area. In the summer of 2016, I was asked to be the Design Producer for a DIY Network show "Restoring Charleston" .
I enjoy mentoring others because I love to see how your creative abilities develop with a bit of encouragement and positive support! I am passionate about the Staging Industry and it is always a pleasure to share that passion with others.
My teaching style is based on a "hands on" approach. I like to give those I mentor enough freedom to demonstrate their ideas and then we go back over the HSR principles and make adjustments and rework the things that may need it. If you work with me, I will share tips, experience and short cuts and help you with ideas on how to develop your "nitch" in the staging industry.

I am a home staging Mentor based in Rowlett, Texas. Staging Dallas serves real estate agents and home owners all over the Dallas metro area. I primarily work with occupied listings, but have furniture inventory available for staging vacant properties as well. My company motto is "Styling Homes to Sell." I have been putting that motto to work for agents in the area for 6 years.
Mentoring others in the field I love gives me the opportunity to share some of the valuable lessons I have learned from 6 years in the business. Home staging is so much more than making a house "look pretty." I enjoy sharing the science behind home staging, why we put furniture, artwork etc., where we do, how to stage so that the property photographs well. I encourage all new stagers to join our local Real Estate Staging Association chapter. The insight and resources available to our membership far outweighs the cost of membership.
Before becoming a Home Stager, I was a teacher in the public schools. That experience taught me that hands-on experience is the best way to learn a new skill. When working with a staging student, I like to give them a room to work on themselves, then discuss what they did, why, and how to improve on it.
My name is Holly and I am owner of Home Staging & Redesign by Holly here in Bastrop County. I am thrilled that after years of playing with colors & furniture arrangements, that I am able to share that passion with you! I love what I do– it really is as simple as that.

I am a Staging Mentor based out of Montgomery, Texas (north of Houston) and I specialize in Professional Vacant Staging. I offer Professional Occupied Staging, Model Home Staging and Design as well. While I haven’t been Professionally Staging and Designing for decades, I have an enormous amount of passion and energy for the industry and have been gaining great momentum since I have started my own business. I love to share with those who want to know what has worked for me so far and, just as important, what has not worked for me. I believe it is imperative to enjoy what you do, to have a great attitude while you do it and to pay it forward whenever possible!
I have been mentoring folks for decades in my other profession and I feel honored and blessed when I am able to help people reach their goals and dreams. When I was asked to be a Staging Mentor, it seemed like the right path to take for this reason … I remember clearly what I felt like when I first began my new business in this industry. I had so many questions, I felt very overwhelmed with the process and I had a lot of (unnecessary) self-doubt. Being able to “pick someone’s brain” and work with them one-on-one is invaluable, in my opinion. I wished I had done this myself from the get go.
When I mentor or teach folks, no matter what the subject, it is my goal to make them feel as at ease as possible. While I don’t have every answer, I encourage them to ask every question on their mind. If for some reason I am unable to answer it right away, I will utilize my resources to get an answer for them. It is my focus to strive for excellence in every thing I do and to exceed people’s expectations “with Passion, Flair and Excellence” (as my motto states). I have this same goal when it comes to being a Staging Mentor and wish nothing but huge success for all those who put forth the time, effort and hard work!
I am a Staging Mentor in Austin TX and the owner of Austin Premier Home Staging. I became an HSR Certified Home Stager in 2009 and have a successful, growing and very busy business. We provide a wide range of services including occupied staging, vacant staging, color consulting and interior design. I am also a member of RESA and served in leadership and on the board in 2014, 2015, and 2016. My primary business comes from a long list of Realtors who contact me when they have a listing that needs occupied or vacant staging. I am extremely grateful to all the Realtors, flippers and home owners that see the necessity and value of Home Staging.
I enjoy mentoring other stagers because I believe hands on learning is an essential part of the staging training. I was very fortunate to shadow a few stagers back in 2009/2010 which helped give me the confidence to go out on my own. Every home has different challenges and how you approach these challenges to the homeowner is very important. I am often told " They loved you." I have a Sales Management background with Hershey Chocolate which provided me the skills to sell myself and changes needed to successfully sell the clients home without offending them. I would like to pass this on to new stagers so that they can be confident and successful.
Transcending Homes has been in business since 2007, serving all of Collin County and the DFW Metroplex. We have established strong relationships with over 40 Realtors in our area and specialize in occupied and vacant homes as well as Re-design.
As a former Franchise Business Coach, becoming a staging mentor has allowed me to fulfill another passion of mine - teaching. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and teaching those who are looking to make staging a career. The staging industry is loads of fun and can be very rewarding but also requires hard work and dedication. I've made many friends with those I've mentored and still stay in touch with all of them!
Every stager's passion and goals are different. I am dedicated to answering all of your questions while building your confidence to effectively market your business. I'll give expert advice on not only growing but maintaining a successful business, how to add additional revenue streams and will share all the in's and out's I've learned along the way. I look forward to working with you!

I have served in leadership for many years as President of RESA Dallas, RESA Texas State President, RESA Region 10 Vice President and am currently a RESA National Board Member, I see staging becoming an industry standard for all residential real estate transactions and am proud to be a staging professional leading the way. I specialize in consulting on and staging occupied homes along with full service staging of vacant properties. I have worked hard to create a business that continues to thrive in all real estate markets. Our slogan is at Home Star Staging "we turn house hunters into home buyers!"
Describe why you become a Staging Mentor.
Being a staging mentor through HSR gives me the opportunity to coach and mentor qualified staging students who have first committed to educating themselves on the business of this industry. In my opinion training often separates those who are serious about the business over someone perhaps not as serious but wanting to "pick our brains" to see what may work. The time we invest as mentors comes at price over years of hard work and hard knocks in an industry just a few years ago that wasn't so "friendly" to home stagers (and is still not widely accepted in some markets yet!). While I get a lot of requests from those seeking to come into the industry, I will always share that to "shadow" or be mentored, they must first commit to educating themselves with training. HSR is a RESA approved staging training company and has been a leader in the industry for years. I know the staging students coming out of the program are at the point that when being coached and mentored helps move them forward. They come with the right questions and right mind set about learning from pros who have been paving the way for the staging industry often in their local markets. It's an apprenticeship like no other if you're serious about a career in home staging.
Describe your teaching style or anything else you want listed
I would rather "teach someone to fish over giving them a fish". We all have to develop systems and processes unique to our own style of operating, personalities and skill sets. I want to empower my students to feel confident and capable in their abilities and to develop their own unique style of the way they do something. They may take a bit of my knowledge and experience and incorporate it into something even better for themselves and it's exciting to see the light-bulb moments that happen when something and someone "clicks"! I enjoy collaboration and idea sharing. In this business, it's always good to be moving forward and learning new ideas, trends and industry standards and they are always evolving and changing.
I'm a Staging Mentor based in the Richmond, VA area and I specialize in vacant home staging.
I enjoy mentoring because I remember how I felt when I first got started. I want to support future Home Stagers so they have the confidence needed to go after their dream of staging.
When you stage with me you will have the tools needed to get the staging job done. And when you have those moments of not knowing what to do or periods of frustration just pick up the phone for I'm only a call away!!!!
I’m the owner of Spaces Streamlined Staging, Organization and Redesign based in Gig Harbor Washington and in business since 2009. Staging vacant and occupied homes for selling and styling homes using what is already there for staying, I truly love what I do! I would love to share with aspiring stagers what I have learned over the years about running a successful home staging business.
I'd like to see new stagers coming into the field have a realistic idea of what it takes to operate a staging business and how to price their services accordingly so that they can build their businesses and lift up the staging industry
Working side by side, the hows and whys of the staging process and building a business will be explained and with all questions answered.
I'm a professional Home Stager operating in Europe in the capital city of Czech republic, Prague. As one of the first stagers in this country I'm considered as a founder of Home Staging here. Since the very beginning I have been very active in pioneering of this industry in central Europe and I'm a founder of the Czech Association Of Home Staging.
I'm very happy and excited to be a HSR Staging Mentor because I understand how demanding it is to be alone and sometimes even lost in such a huge amount of totally new information presented in foreign language.
I will provide you helping hand with anything you need to successfully graduate your HSR training and I'd be happy to help and be on your side anytime you need it while establishing your company on the Czech market. If you're still not sure whether you are able to succeed, here is my advice, don't worry about your foreign origin, together we will make it!
